Christmas Eve Service
Join us for a special celebration of Christmas with carols, candlelight, and more. The service will be for the whole family, we hope you can join us before your evening celebrations! Friends and neighbors welcome as always. Service will also be available on our YouTube for those unable to attend in-person.
First Sunday Meal
Our January First Sunday Meal is going to be Brunch, and our hosts (Patrick and Rachel) will be proving pancakes for all! Please bring a side/dessert to share, or your favorite toppings to help complete a “pancake bar”. If you’re able to bring a Vegan or Gluten Free option, please feel welcome to do so.
We will need 2-3 volunteers to help with setup, and an additional 2-3 to help with cleanup. If you are able to help out, please contact us at info@uhchurch to let them know!
UHC Blood Drive
Starting the new year off with a selfless act like blood donation can set a positive tone for the months ahead. Donating blood is a simple yet powerful way to come together for our neighbors in need of transfusions for cancer, surgery, and trauma.
Longest Night Service
The Longest Night Service is a quiet space to mourn and lament – perhaps for yourself, perhaps on behalf of another – and still feel surrounded by the compassionate love of God. Come for a few minutes, or the whole time. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." All are welcome.
River Winds Flute Choir Christmas Concert
Please join us for a special Christmas Concert featuring the River Winds Flute Choir. The concert is free, and there will be light refreshments available for all who attend. All are welcome, so invite your friends and family!
Ladies Tea
Join us in the UHC Fellowship Hall for brunch and good conversation as the ladies at Union Hill and Mountain Ridge seek to gather together in the midst of the holiday season. Please bring sweet or savory brunch foods. Tea, Coffee, and Juice will be provided!
Christmas Tree Forest Set-Up
"You're the church with all the beautiful Christmas trees at Christmas!"
"It's such a joy to drive by at Christmastime!"
~Neighbors
We hear comments like these all the time. Let's continue to bless our community with light and beauty this Christmas. We believe it's a simple way to extend hope and joy, and we need your help to make it happen!
Trees are scheduled to be delivered on the morning of the 23rd, and we will be securing the trees to their posts and stringing the light strands as well. Please wear gloves and weather appropriate work clothes (bring wire cutters if you have them). Coffee, hot cocoa, and pastries will be provided!

Blood Drive
When the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, it’s the perfect time to consider donating blood. With the holiday season fast approaching, hospitals need blood for patients more than ever. Donating blood is a quick and easy way to make an immediate difference in someone’s life. Doctors and emergency responders need our community blood donations to help those in need, whether it’s a trauma patient, cancer patient, or premature baby. By taking one hour to donate blood, you can help ensure there is enough blood supply available for them. Schedule an appointment to give blood at Union Hill Church November 20 or 21; with your help, someone’s second chance could come this season.
Craft Klatch
Our next Craft Klatch Day is Nov 26. It’s a great opportunity for you to take some dedicated time to work on your sewing or craft project. Christmas in only two months away so if you need to get to work on those gifts you want to make this is a day for you. Don’t have a project but just want to hang out? Come and chat. Bring your project (or not) and join us for a day of crafting and chatting. This is also a great opportunity for a bit of show and tell. We encourage you to bring a completed project that you want to show off. Open house format - come and go as needed. If you’re staying all day bring a lunch. We’ll provide drinks and desserts. Open to everyone; feel free to bring a friend. Questions? Contact Kris Wilson or Lori Lee.
